These cards have limitations and are not intended to be solely relied upon as a replacement to the Manual or Specification. This card also provides a "simplified method" that is based on the effective length method. Volume 2: Design Tables, supplements the Manual with several additional member and connection design tables. The v15.1 Companion is an update of the v15.0 Design Examples with the design examples and tables split into two separate volumes. The v15.1 Companion to the AISC Steel Construction Manual is a resource that supplements the 15th Edition Steel Construction Manual and is keyed to the 2016 Specification for Structural Steel Buildings.
